Biography

Award winning, National Photographer Jon Cancelino has a very strong passion for his craft and it continues to show in the illustrative work that is produced every day. With over 13 years of professional photography experience and dozens of commercial clients there is not much that he has not encountered before.

Jon's formal education in photography began in 2003 while attending University of South Florida. Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Photography his ambition for understanding the medium expanded. Graduating with high honors, he was awarded a fellowship at Columbia College Chicago in 2005 to further enhance his skill set with a Masters Degree in Photography.

During his last year of Graduate Thesis at Columbia, Jon was hired by a North Shore magazine publication to photograph full time. Over the next 2.5 years, he shot over 35 different magazine covers for them and hundreds of editorial, fashion and commercial spreads. As he progressed along, Jon developed a great personal relationship with many different business and families in the Chicago region which lead to him moving onto opening his own Commercial Photography Studio.

Currently he resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife and still travels back up to Chicago during the year, and also across the entire country to work with new and exciting projects for clients, families and couples who are engaged.
